Can you install a ceiling fan where there’s no existing wiring?
Yes, we can run new wiring to install a ceiling fan in any room of your home. We work carefully to minimise damage to walls and ceilings during the wiring process and provide a clean tidy finish once everything is up and running properly.
What size ceiling fan do I need for my room?
Fan size depends on the room dimensions but a 48 inch fan suits most standard bedrooms nicely. Larger living areas usually need 52 to 56 inch fans for proper airflow and we’re happy to help you pick the right size during the quote.
Can you install ceiling fans on high or raked ceilings?
Absolutely, high and raked ceilings are no problem and we use extension rods to get the right height. We have the proper equipment to safely install fans on ceilings of all shapes and pitches without compromising on safety or finish quality.
Can I get a ceiling fan with a light included?
Yes, plenty of modern ceiling fans come with built in lights and we install these all the time. We can also wire them to a single switch or separate switches for the fan and light depending on what works best for your room layout.
Are outdoor ceiling fans different from indoor ones?
Yes, outdoor fans are specifically built to handle moisture, salt air and temperature changes much better than indoor ones. We only install proper outdoor rated fans for patios and alfresco areas so they last well through every season of the year.
How long does ceiling fan installation usually take?
Most standard ceiling fan installations are completed within one to two hours on site. Jobs that need new wiring or work on higher ceilings can take a bit longer but we’ll always give you a clear time estimate before we get started.
